Dear LLana,
Very sorry to hear that you lost your dad. Even though we took the same microbiology class together in 1962, I didn't get to know him until the early 70's at scientific meetings. From then on he was one of my favorite people, always pleasant, positive, thoughtful, and kind. When by chance I would meet him in the States or in Barcelona I would feel a sense of alegria and when we would part I would always know something new. A tragedy that he's gone, but please know that you had a wonderful father. I and many others in the scientific community will miss him.

Ilana,
I am so very sad and shocked to learn of your father's untimely passing.
His legacy will live on. Great man, great spirit and great inspiration - a decent and good human.
Condolences to your mother, sisters and your families as well as the community at Amiad.
(Your dad and I shared many interesting conversations about the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoyed his presence immensely)
