Poem 1
LAVENDER MEMORIES- I.
Velvet violet mounts
Lavendered, darkened
Stand so silent,
Silhouetted.
I stare spellbound
At the pale gold filtering,
Through grey- blue skies.
A few rays visit
The blessed Land,
Reflecting serenity
Ah my heart,
Lifts, quietly lit!
Poem 2
LAVENDER MEMORIES-II.
That brown line
Between truth
And its reflection.
Like fainting memories
Mirrored, so still,
So still the Lavenders
In my heart.
Frowns drown.
A slight smile
Takes a while
To travel,
The miles between
Detachment and affection.
Poem 3
Stripey Strides -I
The moment
Pre-movement
That split
Of a second
Feet lifted
Off ground
Yet undecided
Where to go
Direction unfathomed
Speck of uncertainty,
Speck of fear,
Speck of indecision,
Speck of lively frenzy,
The stripe-adorned
Speck of life,
From the painter’s eyes
A matter of stride.
Such a pride!
