IF I DIE YOUNG

to Oneal Walters (Canada)

If I should die young,
Bury me at dawn
Where the rivers are still
Butterflies migrating,
And the world soaked in silence.

If I should die young,
Do not shed a tear
Do not cause a scare
But,
Ask of smiles from the rainbow
On my smiley rest.

If I should die young
Feel human again
Smell the roses
Jolly in the floodgates of rain
And dance to the music my heart aspired for.

If I should die young,
Hide your sadness
Alarm the world with happiness
‘Coz that is what I lived for

Featured on World Poetry Canada and I feel so Ghanaian. I feel my Poems have a holistic healing to human kind.We define poetry in different senses, but to me, it’s the cock crow that arose the early bird to catch the first worm. Poetry is life and a renewal of the soul. Read and share with friends. Thanks Ariadne, Oneal Walters, Patra, family for the support. Loads of love
