Breaking News!
Three  poems were selected as a gift poems  for the World Poetry Canada & International Peace Festival. Did You Hear the News Today? by Margaret Eaton, Colours of Peace by Carol Knepper and I want to kill you War by Dr. Ada Aharoni.

Seventeen poems were  submitted as gift poems and three were selected one.  All poems were submitted without the names of the authors. There were four selectors from our partner groups , City of Richmond: Alan Hill, World Poetry: Anita Aguirre Nieveras, UBC Library and ACWW, Allan Cho, and Dr. Ray Hsu, Professor of Creative writing, VAHMS representative. We had so many gift poems that I had to close the entry. The gift poems will be printed on themed paper, given at the festival, one to each guest, and put in a gift box, labeled free poems, at the month long WP Exhibit at the UBC library and at the Richmond Cultural Centre, Richmond, BC, Canada. We have been doing the gift poems for a number of years and there are some amazing stories to tell about them.
