Our Radio Team welcomed Dr. Ray Hsu, BC Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver BC to the World Poetry Cafe Radio Show.

The last time Ray Hsu was on World Poetry radio, he apologized to all of Literature. He is author of two award-winning books and taught writing for two years in a US prison. He is now president of the Asian Canadian Writers’ Workshop, which publishes Ricepaper Magazine, and is a director of Vancouver Asian Heritage Month. Find him at thewayofray.com.

 He was representing three of our honoured partners for the World Poetry Canada International Peace Festival, Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society, Asian Canadian Writer’s Workshop  and Ricepaper Magazine.

Ray spoke about his work representing the new generation of techno savvy poets , read some of his poetry and answered questions.

We received a surprise visit from Becky, the Gastown Poet. She will be featured in the future.

Ariadne read one of her dream poems called  The Tortured One, based on the experiences of one of her clients. She was asked to share it  by special request since since torture is a world problem.
