Priyanka Debnath writes:
“I am looking for a platform to widen my wings and support me.
Born and brought up in Kolkata, India, I had to go to a Convent school situated by the river side. Since then, I fell in love with the English language and then poetry itself. I take huge interest in writing poetry so that I can weave my thoughts and express the world. Being the only daughter of my parents, I am the loved one and love inspires me as I am a wife to someone now.

A content writer by profession and a writer by avocation, writing has always been my passion since childhood. I find goodness in nature, love, in the animate as well as the inanimate. I take huge inspiration for Keats who keenly observed the nightingale singing and also Shelley who took interest in the soaring Skylark. “

A dream unknown…..

It was just yesterday when I saw a dream
A dream I wished came true
Remember, that dawn ?
When I first held your hands?
Yes, the sun and the seas stood witness to it
I was sitting by the shore and the waters kissed my feet
Now, is the time when I feel you are so indispensable
The sun shines, the seas roar, the mountains stand firm
As the thunder and lightning continues
But the shore is far far away
My dream has come true
Yes, its another new dawn, a fresh new day
And you are still there, right beside me
And I am in your arms
In you I find solace.
