ABOUT THE BOOK
Merging Dimensions is a surrealistic offering of poetry crossing boundaries invisible and visible with brilliant and vivid imagery flowing throughout. It is a subliminal mix of raw bones and sparkling diamonds reflecting the many facets of mind, matter and spirit. In this, Candice James’s ninth poetry book, the reader is taken on an ethereal ride through sliding and merging dimensions of soul. It is a journey within a journey encompassing love and passion; grief and despair; delight and joy; heartbreak and heartache; tension and excitement, and splashes of deja-vu.
The poet delves into the quantum pools of consciousness and merging dimensions, touching down on the tangible and intangible shores of imagination and inspiration. James’s musical background comes to the forefront in a magical weave of rhythm and melody that underscores the poems. These poems run the gamut of emotions: poems to cut your teeth on; poems that tear your heart out; poems that sip like wine and drink like memories; poems that fan the flames of passion; poems to take you beyond this world; poems to soak your spirit in; and poems to simply enjoy.
ABOUT THE POET
Candice James is a poet, writer, visual artist, musician, singer-songwriter in her 2nd three year term as Poet Laureate of New Westminster and RCLAS Director at Large; she is Past President of both Royal City Literary Arts Society and Federation BC Writers; founder of RCLAS; founder of Poetry In The Park and founder of Poetic Justice. She is a featured poet, keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, presenter and event hostess.
Candice is also a full member of League Canadian Poets; a member of The Writers Union Canada and is the author of nine poetry books: the first book of poetry published was “A Split In The Water” (Fiddlehead Poetry Books 1979); and the most recent is “Merging Dimensions” (Ekstasis Editions 2015).
