World Poetry Celebrates Oparin Ortiz from El Salvador and Canada!

Ariadne’s Notes:  The World Poetry Café Radio Show on May 12th ,1-2 pm,welcomed the Renaissance  Creator  Oparin Ortiz on CFRO, 100.5 FM along with Lorene Oikawa and an E–poem by David Beaton. A fascinating  show about arts, events and the need for racial unity. Hosts Ariadne Sawyer and Neall Ryon, technical engineer, Victor Schwartzman.

Oparin Ortiz, is a quirky, Vancouver-based multimedia artist. He was a young child when emigrated from El Salvador in the mid-eighties, at the height of the civil war. He is an ally of successful survivors all around the world.

Oparin’s expertise is digital art software. He makes illustrations, animations and is currently testing the world of virtual reality art. He also has a solid background with real-world mediums. He has done works with aerosol, airbrush and makeup. He has also worked with metal, wood and electricity. He has experience as a writer, stage-performer and dancer. His search is to find new  art and tell stories.

Oparin’s accomplishments include performing in plays for Jimmy Crescenzo, Carmen Aguirre and Elaine Carol. Oparin is fortunate to have his art is featured on a sculpture in Seaforth Park in Vancouver, a production for Proyecto Cultural Sur Vancouver.
