World Poetry Celebrates the Must See Tiger Film!!!

Ariadne’s Notes: On November 22, 1: 30 PM, PST, the World Poetry Café Radio Show had a wonderful interview with great interview about respect and diversity with Pardeep Singh Nagra whose film TIGER is inspired by his true story . the inspiration of the award winning film TIGER, an aspiring boxer who must fight for his religious beliefs after being banned from the sport for refusing to shave his beard. He called to tell us about his fascinating experiences and advice as a human rights activist as well as to promote the film.

Pardeep Singh Nagra is a man of many talents. He is the Executive Director of the Sikh Heritage Museum of Canada, located in Mississauga, Ontario; he is also an historian, a researcher, an athlete, a public speaker and a human rights advocate.

Host Ariadne writes: “For me the most important aspects of his interview was to “stand up for what you believe in and do something about it.” Have the courage to keep going no matter what negative or even positive aspects happen or how long it takes. Do not give up or sit on the fence. Promote respect and diversity . Use the power of social media to send powerful messages of respect, peace and harmony. Be care what you say or write.”

Ariadne’s Notes: On November 22, 1-2 pm PST the World Poetry Café Radio Show had an amazing show with the power couple Rene DeFazio and Tamara Veitch of The One Great Year Series.

Rene DeFazio was born and raised in Canada and currently resides in the Vancouver area with his wife and writing partner Tamara Veitch. Rene is an actor and producer with numerous film and television roles to his credit. A world traveler and lifelong adventurer, Rene has called upon his unusual and exciting experiences in co-creating The One Great Year novel series. His tireless research and first hand knowledge of exotic locations, customs, sights, and smells help to bring this epic story to life.

Tamara Veitch is a writer, mural artist, and mother of three. She grew up in Canada and attended Simon Fraser University, studying English, psychology, history and General Arts. Tamara has had a lifelong interest in spiritual wisdom and has carefully researched ancient teachings from many traditions to ensure historical accuracy throughout The One Great Year Series.
Tamara and Rene have completed Book I and II in The One Great Year Series and are currently working on Book III. World Poetry Celebrates the Authors of One Great Year, Tamara Veitch & Rene DeFazio!

What happens when two passionate writer-artists fall in love and decide to make an uncommon life together? The award-winning novel One Great Year and its forthcoming sequels are just a few of the awesome possibilities! Born and raised in the Vancouver area, Rene DeFazio is an actor, screenwriter and producer with numerous film and television roles to his credit, as well as countless commercials and print ads. After spending many years backpacking and filming, Rene drew upon an abundance of unusual and exciting experiences to create One Great Year. His tireless research and firsthand knowledge of exotic locations, customs, sights and smells helped to bring this epic story to life. Rene was awarded an “Empowered Writers Award” at the 2014 World International Peace festival in Vancouver. Tamara Veitch was also awarded an “Empowered Writers Award” at the 2014 World International Peace festival in Vancouver.

Since an early age Tamara knew that she was a writer. She studied English and General Arts at Simon Fraser University and has had articles published in Guided Synergy Magazine, Awareness Magazine (Southern California), and Mosaic Magazine. Tamara’s first published novel One Great Year was written in collaboration with her husband Rene DeFazio, and received excellent reviews. They are currently writing and researching the next instalment in The Great Year Series. Tamara is an experienced mural artist, teacher and public speaker and currently teaches creative writing to children ages 8-14 in her local community as well as touring and presenting the groundbreaking research and discoveries behind her novels.

One Great Year took three painstaking years to complete. Within months of its independent release, One Great Year was optioned to become a Hollywood blockbuster film trilogy. One Great year is distributed by NewLeaf Distributing US and Dempsey Distributing Canada.
