Dr. Monima Chouchury Featured World Poet from India!

Dr. Monima Chouchury ‘Manu’ is a poet par excellence. She is multi-faceted, multi -talented. Born in Banekuch, District Nalbari Assam(India). She is an English (Honours) graduate from Handique Girls College, Guwahatti and qualified M.A (English) from Guwahatti University, Assam. She attributers enormous importance to self respect, love , beauty, literature, arts and all that is good around her. She has experienced and observed upheavals in the society owing to male chauvinism and expressed her thoughts candidly and forthrightly. She has earned enormous name and fame as a contemporary poet by virtue of her own unique style of poetic expression. She writes poems in Assamese, Hindi and English languages.

Her poetic works Impression(English), Pehchann(Hindi), and a number of poems in Assamese language have been very well received by poetry lovers and critic in India and abroad. Her literature has been honoured with a number of distinhished awards by Indian Institutions. Some of the distinctions she own are FUWAI Diploma from United Writers Association, India, IWA International Writers and Artists Association, USA and Honorary member of Research Board of Advisors, ABI, USA. She has been conferred upon an honorary doctorate by New Age International University, Italy.

Her poem Unity was proudly displayed at the First World Poetry International Festival in May, 2011.
